An absolutely phenomenal work which despite the name covers everything from the late 1920s to just after the war. Talks in depth about the political climate which weakened France and her response to Germany and the war. It's an academic text so not the most accessible, though. To Hell and Back: Europe 1914-1949 by Ian Kershaw. A great and accessible book which gives an overview of Europe during the period. Be aware that it jumps about quite a bit so don't expect entire chapters devoted to one nation. Good breakdowns of the general events and gives some much needed context to France during the 1930s.
5bqWm3DLcYk&t=3m40s 3:40 I’ve watched this video many times and I barely realized Neville chamberlain dying in the background who died months after 6-7 months after dunkirk.
It’s funny to hear an English speaker speaking French when you’re a native French
Why doesn't Belgium own Eupen on the map at 5bqWm3DLcYk&t=2m32s 2:32 ?
I always think that 1939 Germany before invading, Poland looks like a broken holy Roman Empire
Wish he’d make longer history again
British be like :
"Sir our army is fairly successful today"
"Did you successfully beat the Germans or at least holding position?"
" No sir we successfully retreated"
Rest in Peace for those who died fighting in this unnecessary event
It’s clear that the French left wing parties weakened the will of the France to fight back.
Where did Ireland in WWII? Did they fight along with the ally?

Canada should have had an occupation zone
France, a cowardly enigma wrapped in a mystery of narcissism.
Hi
" The british then bravely ran away while the french covered their retreat " lmao xDD
British logic : run away from france
have the french cover your retreat
refuse to commit anything else to the defense of france
call them cowads
5bqWm3DLcYk&t=4m12s 4:12 Well, only one of them is looking to commit genocide on your people
