Seville is one of Spain's most popular destinations, home to some of the country's most famous traditions like flamenco. The picturesque town is world-famous for its mix of Muslim, Christian and Jewish architecture and history. One can also find some of the most delicious tapas found in southern Spain. As the capital of Andalusia, Seville is where the gypsy art of Flamenco was born and also Seville's cathedral is the third largest in the world. If you want to discover more of this unique place, keep watching! We stayed at the 4 star hotel called Hotel Virgen de los Reyes which cost us 97€ per night. It is near the center and quite clean. Our first day was relaxed and without any fixed schedule, we just wanted to enjoy the city in the most authentic way. We walk through the streets of Seville enjoying its architecture and a cozy sunset. One of the main architectural styles of the city is the Mudejar style. This style combines elements of Christian and Muslim architecture. Another architectural style present in Seville is the Gothic style, which I will show you later. It is very nice to see how the city is so green and especially close to the center. We approached the center to see the Plaza España. The square measures 170 meters in diameter and its semi-elliptical shape symbolizes Spain's embrace of its former American territories. After seeing the essence of this city we went to dinner at a place where they offered small bites and we went to sleep to start the next day with lots of energy. Like most Spanish cities, Seville can be discovered on foot, where you can see street performances and many souvenir shops. In fact, many of the streets cannot be accessed by car and must be done exclusively on foot. Seville Cathedral has a very rich artistic heritage. In it you can see masterpieces of the history of painting. In fact, it is considered one of the best art galleries in Spain. Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, the largest Catholic cathedral in the world and the third largest temple after St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican in Rome, and St Paul's in London. A curious fact is that Christopher Columbus was buried in this city. The Giralda is an icon that almost automatically identifies Seville in the world. A monument with a force of attraction and a unique beauty. The history of the bell tower of Seville is very interesting. There is a shape of a woman, symbolizing the victory of Christianity over the Muslim world. The old part of the city is very nice, and if you want to taste authentic Spanish food, this is a good place to do it. You will find many restaurants to eat typical dishes or simply places to eat tapas or drink beer. Tapas are small dishes: it might be bread and meat, ham, fried squid, olives or other vegetables. Essentially, Tapas is a small plate or serving, and it's a great way to try something new. Red and yellow combined in buildings are so frequent in the city that they are an indisputable part of the Sevillian color palette and that is why there is a strong link between these colors and the identity of Seville. It is incredible the amount of art that can be found in this city, the small shops are full of precious details and also the local street stalls. We got lost in this picturesque neighbourhood until we saw that a lot of people were going somewhere and we decided to follow them. We arrived at one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen, and unfortunately I don't know its name. If you have been and know what it is called, please leave it to me in the comments. The art inside this church is incredible and the flowers and the golden color are just amazing. Without a doubt, it is a magical place with a very strong energy. Walking through these streets is like being in a living museum that will undoubtedly make you fall in love. I was still looking for something to buy to remind me of this beautiful city and I finally found a stall on the street with the most beautiful paintings. I bought a mini painting that represents Seville and as you can see I was very happy. We continue admiring the streets, along with the flowers and the monuments until we reach the center of the city again. As always there are many street performances and I decided to buy buñuelos con chocolate, a very typical Spanish sweet. If you think you have seen it all, you are very wrong.
