🍜 Japanese Street Food in Fukuoka: 🤍 🌶️ Get Smoked Ghost Pepper: 🤍 🔔 Subscribe: 🤍 FUKUOKA, JAPAN - Welcome to the island of Kyushu, and for winter during the oyster season, oyster huts commonly setup along the coast where you can come and order a bunch of fresh seafood and cook them on a grill table before you. Today, along with oysters, we found a huge abalone, the biggest I’ve ever seen! 1st Oyster Hut: 🤍 This is a very popular oyster hut about an hour drive outside of Fukuoka. The sea is so clean and fresh and that’s exactly how the oysters taste. Once you arrive they have a variety of live seafood and especially oysters that you can choose from. Then you go to your table and grill everything. These oysters can be eaten raw or grilled, but most like to grill them. It’s a great Japanese food eating experience especially with family and friends. Total price - 8,100 JPY 2nd Oyster Hut: 🤍 We continued with this Japanese oyster hut tour to the second place, which was past Itoshima. This next oyster hut was more a of a local family home where they have opened up their backyard and garage to host seafood loving customers. I immediately loved this place and how family oriented it is - they catch and harvest all their own seafood. When she showed me the giant record-breaking abalone, I immediately had to order it. Grandma came out to slice it perfectly into sashimi and she recommended we eat half of it raw and half of it grilled with some oysters. They even had citrus in the backyard we could use for our oyster meal. It was truly a memorable Japanese food experience! Total price - 9,550 JPY When you visit the island of Kyushu during the winter, visiting a few local oysters huts is a must! This video was filmed in Korea in the South Sea (Namhae) my late father's hometown. 🤍 Abalone porridge (jeonbokjuk) is known as the “king of porridges” in Korea. Not only is it creamy, savory, delicious, hearty and satisfying, but because they live on the rocks on the bottom of the ocean, abalones are incredibly lean and have almost no fat. They are full of good minerals like iron and calcium and have a ton of vitamins, too. It’s hard to beat abalone porridge for taste, nutrition, and making you feel warm and satisfied.

In this one we tackle a subject I have covered before in the past, how to polish abalone shells! I wanted to readdress a video that I made a looooong time ago(Literally my second video) and that one is rough; let's just say my videos have gotten MUCH better in the three years I've been doing this and this is a subject that deserved to be done justice! We take three different species of abalone(Pink Haliotis, Paua abalone, and midas abalone) and show 3 different methods for polishing them. You can either go with a level polish, or go the very time consuming but so worth it route of doing a contour polish! The end result is truly incredible! I highly recommend that everyone try this at some point in you life; there is nothing quite like a polished abalone! Local fisherman risk their lives to illegally harvest abalone, a valuable seafood found along South Africa’s coastline, to sell to Asian crime syndicates.
A little over a year ago an historic agreement was signed giving Tasmanian Aboriginal people rights to fish for abalone and profit from their catch. Now the fishery is up and running, supplying local abalone to local restaurants and the world. Ellen Coulter got up early to help bring in the first catch of the day. The target of this catch and cook was Abalone! The fishing limit is three abalone per person per day and rules are strictly enforced. If you eat and abalone on the beach like I did, you must consume the entire thing. It's illegal to transport abalone outside of it's shell. Anyway, I wanted to try a recipe for this sea snail in two ways. Cooked with butter, salt and pepper, and raw fresh from the ocean. Watch til the end to see how it tastes! Learn the rules to the board game Abalone quickly and concisely - This video has no distractions, just the rules. Don't own the game? amazon.com - 🤍 amazon.ca - 🤍 amazon.uk - 🤍 amazon.es - 🤍 amazon.de - 🤍 amazon.fr - 🤍 amazon.it - 🤍 amazon.nl - 🤍 amazon.se - 🤍 amazon.com.au - 🤍 amazon.co.jp - 🤍 (As an Amazon Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases) RULES: The object of the game is to be the first player to push 6 of your opponent's marbles out of play, into the board's outer rim. Setup. Layout the board and each player picks a color and arranges the marbles as shown. Pick a player to go first, then turns alternate. On your turn, you may move either a single marble or Column of marbles of your own color one space. A column consists of two or three marbles of the same color directly adjacent to one another in a straight line. A single marble can move 1 space in any direction. A column can move 1 free space in an in-line direction or it can side-step. A side-step move is when all the marbles in the column are moved sideways into adjacent free spaces. All the marbles in the Column must move in the same direction. All the spaces from a side-step must be free in order to move. A ‘Side step’ move cannot be used to push an opponent’s marble or column. When your column is in-line with, and directly adjacent to, a lesser number of your opponent's marbles, you have a Sumito advantage. In a Sumito position, your column may push columns of less size with an in-line move. So, a Column of 3 marbles may push 1 or 2 marbles. And a column of 2 marbles, may only push 1 marble. All pushes move 1 space and a single marble may never push an opponent’s marbles. When pushing, the opponent’s marbles must be pushed either into an unoccupied space or off the board into the outer rim. Marbles pushed into the outer rim are no longer in play, and may not be moved. A single marble can never push an opposing marble, nor can a Column push any marble if it moves sideways. Enemy marbles sandwiched between friendly marbles may not be pushed. At any turn, no more than 3 friendly marbles can be moved, thus an opponent’s Column of three can never be pushed. A position of 4-on-3 or greater is not considered a Sumito. The first player to push 6 of their opponent’s marbles off the board into the outer rim wins.

Buy Abalone here: 🤍 Our hyper-connected world has made us mad multi-taskers. Which is all well and good except for one thing: it's given us human beings the attention spans of a gnat. That's where Abalone board game comes in. This strategic game helps players focus their attention as they try to push six of their opponent's 14 marbles off the hexagon playing surface. But there's a catch: it takes two marbles to move one of your opponent's marbles and three to move two. While the game seems simple, it's not simplistic. Abalone's six directions of movement require players to stay focused as they balance both offensive and defensive strategy. Brain Health Expert Says: "Fine-tune your concentration when thinking ahead to plan subsequent moves. Increase your attention and engage your visual focus." -Neurologist
