It took me long enough to get the hang of this free program, so I want to fast track your progress and show you my step-by-step workflow. I always start by gathering reference beacuse it guides our creative journey. From tehre i'll block out the camera angle, environment and lighting with the goal of getting us to 80% ASAP. Because we're going to spend most of our time adding details and tweaking anyway. It's that last 20% that makes the creative process so addicting. Just know that you can spend days or WEEKS tweaking the lighting, camera, and adding details, but it's the best part. Have a blast! Join me on Patreon! 🤍 This tutorial is for the beginners out there. Lighting is tricky. It's not always the most obvious thing to get right, and lighting in Unreal poses its own share of challenges on top of that. That's where this video comes in, where we'll learn all about the very fundamentals of light, what kind of lights are available to us, how they work, how to make of the most of them, followed by a deep explanation of how light behaves in the real world, and mimicking that in Unreal. Then we'll learn how to light an environment from total scratch, twice. Once for a daytime lighting, and a second time for an overcast, dark, moody day look. The Unrecord gameplay came out earlier this week and everyone is talking about how realistic it looks. It turns out there's actually an old build of the game floating around the internet from 2022 that shows off the concept version of the game. So we downloaded it to see if this game is legit or just an elaborate hoax. It turns out it is indeed real and one of the most realistic-looking games we've seen. The game Unrecord does not currently have a release date. But if you want to know when the Unrecord release is going to happen, you can wishlist it on Steam right now. Of course, we'll let you know when the Steam Unrecord release date is revealed, but in the meantime here's what we know about it so far. In addition, we've captured some Unrecord gameplay from the 2022 build to share with you. The Unrecord FPS title just came out and the Unrecord trailer shows off some major updates over the 2022 version. Now there are on-screen prompts and dialogue changes to name a few. This Unreal engine game is sporting Unreal 5 technology and uses it in a way that has impressed everyone. In my opinion, UE5 is making huge strides and becoming continually more appealing to multiple industries, including archviz. I love what they are doing, and the project showcased in this video really demonstrates what is possible with Unreal Engine for archviz. Neoscape did an awesome job of leveraging the software to create something truly remarkable something that in years past would have had to of been created using 3ds Max + Vray. Unreal Engine gives us new options, and as you'll see it is a very good option for cinematics, awesome walkthroughs, and more. Additionally, in the video I talk about the latest Megascans trees collections. It is not my favorite collection, but it is another high quality asset collection available for free in Unreal Engine, and it is always nice to have options. There are now several collections of Megascans trees available all very high quality. The coolest thing about them is that you can parametrically adjust the age, season and wind of the trees. It all just works great!
