This Log Cabin Project is a dream that we have had for several years that we finally decided to make a reality. We have spent the past 2.5 years building this cabin from scratch and our goal has been to use only hand tools, no power tools. All of the logs were harvested from our property. This cabin will function fully off-grid and will be only accessible by foot. The cabin is finally in a state that we can live in, so we moved in and live here full time! A long time has passed since my fiancee and I started working on our future home project so after year and a half, I think it's time to make a video of all the work we have done so far. In this 35 minutes video you can see all the steps from marking the outlines of the house, up to the day the house was finally water tight. You can also expect some new frames.:) For more detailed videos please check out parts 1-12 which go more in depth and have more detailed subtitles explaining all the steps. It took us a lot more time to get here than anticipated , mostly due to other projects I had to work on, but hopefully things will go on easier from now on. At least we wont cook under the sun and freeze during winter:) House building system we used is a traditionally used one here in continental Croatia. We are a married couple, building our dream house in the Mountains. We have incorporated wooden Post and Beam and SIPS construction to create a comfortable and energy efficient house. We did the rough plumbing ourselves, had the foundation poured and got some help on the first few days of framing. Welcome to our channel! This Log Cabin Project is a dream that we have had for several years that we finally decided to make a reality. Our goal is to build a tiny log cabin from scratch using as much material from our land as possible. We are building it entirely using hand tools (no chainsaw!). This cabin will function fully off-grid and will be only accessible by foot. Subscribe to follow our journey! It has been 1 year since we raised the first log! This video is a condensed version of all the progress we have made thus far. We start with digging holes for the foundation, then pouring concrete footings, splitting and installing the sill log, notching and installing 30 floor joists, raising the walls, and installing the door and window frames.

The month of May marks 2 years since we moved our family off-grid to build our home from the ground up. With neither of us having any prior building experience, we took the risk and made the leap to figure it out as we went along and to pay for the build with cash from our savings and Josh's full time job to ensure we remained debt free throughout the build. Today's video includes a short recap of our first year and then focuses on the progress we have made during our second year of home building. We have come so far in the last two years but we still have a long ways to go. All our progress from this point is still being documented on our channel. This off-the-grid tiny home on wheels is absolutely stunning. Designed to resemble a heritage style home, it’s been beautifully crafted and is packed full of clever design features. Built by husband and wife duo Cera and Oliver, this home has given the couple a brand new lease on life. If you enjoy our videos, please consider supporting us on Patreon: 🤍 After purchasing a large home in town, Cera and Oliver found themselves in a position where they were constantly working to be able to sustain their lifestyle. With mortgage payments and home upkeep, they suddenly found themselves in a situation where they were no longer able to enjoy the things they used to love doing, such as getting out into nature and enjoying sports. That’s when the couple decided to downsize and build their dream tiny house on wheels. The style of the home was inspired by their original heritage home in Armstrong, British Columbia. The shape, materials and colour all being borrowed from their previous dream home, to create a smaller version more appropriately sized to their lifestyle. The home was designed to be completely off the grid, allowing the couple to capitalise on the fact that their home is on wheels, opening it up to a wider variety of parking spaces and potentially even allowing them to travel in their home if they chose to. With Oliver having a background in Construction, and Cera a keen eye for design, the couple decided to share their new-found love of tiny house living by starting their own tiny house building company.
